Go Crazy In The World Of Animes!

Murder Princess!

Murder Princess

This anime series only consists of 6 episodes and i’ve finished it in one night! Its quite a good series, short and sweet. I would like to recommend this anime to everyone, however, this only applies to those who are age 12 and above lol. Why? Because it is really violent, often include content of gore and is seriously bloody. Here is a small summary of the anime, no spoilers, i’m only going to give brief description of the first episode, you can finish the story by watching it yourself! It only has 6 episodes, if i give any spoilers, then it won’t be interesting to watch anymore. Read more »

Is That A Moving Chocolate Biscuit?!

I’ve seen this guy many times but i didn’t know who, or rather, what it is until recently. The first time i saw this brown creature was on msn, while chatting with others, someone posted an emoticon of him flailing his arms continuously. I was like “what the…is that a moving chocolate biscuit?!” LOL! I’ve obtained brief information about him from a newspaper and i found out that this guy is really popular in Japan! His name is Domokun. “Domo” means “very much” or “thank you” in shoft form. According to the info i’ve obtained, Domokun is 120cm tall and weighs 85kg (boy, how can i miss something so big). He is ugly, yet gentle. Well i think he looks rather tempting, yea like a chocolate biscuit!

Well he is the mascot of NHK, a Japan Broadcasting Corporation. Domokun was hatched from an egg, loves to watch TV and hates to eat apples, hmmm looks like he is not a shinigami afterall. It was said that he is the successor of Hello Kitty, which means he is probably going to take over that talking pussy! So fans of Hello Kitty, you gotta learn how to fall in love with Domokun… Read more »

Bookfest @ Suntec, The Search For Manga Drawing Guides!

Bookfest

I went to this particular Bookfest yesterday. Although this entry is about the Bookfest, but it also has something to do with anime, not entirely but somehow related. I’m not there because i’m having a shortage of storybook, but for the sole purpose of buying manga drawing guidebooks! I obtained information about this bookfest selling manga drawing guides at the Chinese Section. Got to thank this friend of mine who apprised me about it 2 days ago. Its free admission and the books there are sold at discount around 20% up to 80%!!! You can even find a lot of manga books there, those who are interested can take a look. Unfortunately, today is the last day haha…if u happen to read this entry right after i published it, u can rush there and check them out! ^^;

Upon entering Suntec City, just turn to the right and proceed to the 4th floor. Most of the time when there are events like this, it will be around the same area. Its quite spacious there, will be great if cosplay events are held there haha. Read more »

Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu!

Suzumiya Haruhi

Well since everyone is using the same Yuki pic, i figured i should use something different lol

You probably already knew about this news but i’ll post it for the sake of those who doesn’t know about it. First, its Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (a.k.a The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi). Next, Kyoto Animation will be coming up with another Haruhism series known as Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu (a.k.a The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi). Heard it is not considered a second season, but a new series. Ahhh~ be it a new season OR a new series, as long as its Haruhism-related, i’ll be looking forward to it!

I’m not sure whether the the anime will be similar to the one found in the light novels, but i’ll still provide a short summary of the plot (of the light novel, not the anime). It is inevitable that spoilers may be present but don’t worry, i’ve taken precaution, just for readers’ convenience. =] Read more »

Feel The Christmas Atmosphere!

Love this pic? Well you can always click to get the full-size and use it as your wallpaper. =]

Yes we all know that Christmas is round the corner and here in Singapore, i can already feel friendly ambience of this upcoming occasion. Well last night, after having a sumptuous dinner, my family suddenly had the idea of going to Orchard Road and the places around there. You know, these places always look beautiful at this point of the year, especially at night, so i think i might as well share it with everyone. The embellishments and lightings were awesome! We were in the car the whole time and didn’t intend to get off. The reason was simply because it was so crowded there and it was definitely going to be difficult to get a parking lot. We were lucky that we were not involved in a traffic jam. Anyway, i took some photos with my phone in the car. Not really well taken i say but good enough to present the grandeur of the places. {Spark} EOY’07…

This even took place at Singapore Expo 2 days ago. WOOT! It was my first time going to such anime event and woah, the feeling is really great! I went there with some of my friends. There were A LOT of people there and the amount of cosplayers was far more than i expected. Aww it was a pity i didn’t get in because i had to leave after a while due to some personal stuffs, but well, this new experience was pretty special to me. Went there, walked around and spotted some of my schoolmates, only 2 of them cosplaying as Trinity Blood characters. Apparently i don’t know who they are cosplaying as because i haven’t watch the anime yet, but i think their costumes and props are really unique and detailed. Those cosplayers out there really put in A LOT of effort to prepare for this event and i think they deserve a round of an applause!!!

I was really entralled by the cosplayers’ costumes and props, I wondered how they actually made them such that they look so identical to those found in the anime! Taking photos of the cosplayers was really fun! They will make interesting poses like those in the anime, look so real as if they just jumped out of the mangas! Well I haven’t got took many photos, if u want to see more pics, u can go to misakichii’s or Alvin’s blog, they got some pretty awesome pics there, do take a look. Anyway, here are the photos i took with my phone, PHEW~ so many people! Read more »

999 Other Pieces

Found this intereting cartoon strip about One Piece. Of course the credit goes to the one who created this wonderful piece of work, Rodrigo D. Carneiro. Found this on a random website and find it really creative. Well if the One Piece anime goes like this, i bet those fans out there are going to get so pissed that they go to the extent of blowing up the Shonen Jump company lol!

Ahh anyway, the EOY event took place today (past tense because it was already over when i’m posting this entry). Well yea, i went and took a glimpse of it. Most of the Singapore anime bloggers are most probably going to post about this particular event. Mark my words ^^.
