Feel The Christmas Atmosphere!

Yes we all know that Christmas is round the corner and here in Singapore, i can already feel friendly ambience of this upcoming occasion. Well last night, after having a sumptuous dinner, my family suddenly had the idea of going to Orchard Road and the places around there. You know, these places always look beautiful at this point of the year, especially at night, so i think i might as well share it with everyone. The embellishments and lightings were awesome! We were in the car the whole time and didn’t intend to get off. The reason was simply because it was so crowded there and it was definitely going to be difficult to get a parking lot. We were lucky that we were not involved in a traffic jam. Anyway, i took some photos with my phone in the car. Not really well taken i say but good enough to present the grandeur of the places.

Well you see, the one thing special about this building is that it changes colour every now and then (of course not naturally). Too bad, the car was on the road and didn’t get many chances to stop. I was unable to take a picture when it looked best. Witness its splendour yourself by going there at night. Yea you know what i meant, not that late at night when the last bus or MRT is gone.

I was sitting at the back of the car, huh obviously. I had to reach all the way to the front before i can take this wonderful picture. I myself think that this picture was the best photo taken last night. Ok now don’t let this discourage you from reading on. The lightings really brightened up the whole area, made the place so beautiful that you just want to shout “KIREI!!!!!” Don’t you just agree?

This effect was not caused by the shivering of my hands! *Sigh* What can you expect when the car was moving? No traffic jam when i wanted it to happen!!!

Oh this was the last picture taken. The car was still moving but i must admit i did quite a good job back there. Hah, who can blame me? Lol just joking. Anyway, i would love it if i can really take a photo of this ferris wheel up close. Its really beautiful when decorated with all those colourful lightings! You see this rectangular shape around the ferris wheel in the picture? Well just ignore it, its just the reflection. As this pic was taken from a distance, you can’t really judge the size of the ferris wheel. I must say it is REALLY HUGE! It was once written on the newspaper that each cabin can take up to around 20 people. Well you can eat and talk in there with all your friends, stuffs like that. It cost a bomb though, but the purpose of this wheel is to let the people inside the cabin, enjoy themselves and appreciate the scenery. My advice: clear your bladder first before you hop on because there is probably no toilet in there!
I was feeling a little disappointed as i didn’t have the opportunity to take pictures of some really cool and beautiful places there. There were really a lot more to see, its just that there were no traffic jams haha. But anyway, there are still chances to go there as long as Christmas is not over yet. Try going to such places, i’m sure you will be able to understand what i meant.

Heading downtown when the Christmas light show happens is a parking nightmare, thats why I watch it from the tv lol. Not the same but I get to see everything from the comfort of home. I used to go when I was younger, but it’s pretty much the same every year.
oh great! I will be working at cineleisure till 27, so will be able to see the lights everyday =)
Heh, you unknowingly took a nice pic, the second last one. I heard the ferris wheel takes 20min for one whole round. Thats great and all, but 20 people? What if you want to be alone with your girlfriend? Man, that sucks…
Stayed somewhere in Orchard road during one of my travels, didn’t know it could be that pretty during christmas season ^^
@AS: its almost the same every year but since we only celebrate Christmas once a year, i guess thats still considered something special! =]
@Lustrous Realm: Good for you, to be able to see the lights everyday. Bad for you, to have to work. But don’t worry, at least u get the money haha.
@§oL: Well actually u can be alone with your girlfriend up there, provided that u pay a huge sum of money to reserve a cabin just for yourself hehehe…
@Shinji: Well, now you know haha! XD
christmas is nice in singapore. Many lights =D
Have to agree the lightings are quite nice this year. But I didn’t know about the ferris wheel one.
I find this year’s decorations especially beautiful, love the silver ^^
I just came back from there, gotta say, centrepoint`s decoration ain`t better than last year
