Finally Completed ONE PIECE!

After about 2 months, i’ve finally completed the series of One Piece up till the latest episode! Yay congratulate me. I kinda enjoyed this anime. Initially, i thought it would be boring if Luffy keeps using the same Gomu Gomu attacks over and over again in order to defeat the enemies. Whats worse was, one cannot consume more than one Devil’s Fruit, which means Luffy will not be able to acquire another ability. It was until I’ve reached the episode showing Luffy fighting a CP9 members, that I realised I was utterly wrong.

The use of gear 2 surprised me. Its rather difficult to explain. Gear 2 is actually sort of like a special mode. When Luffy activated Gear 2, he uses his body to pump blood at a faster rate. As he is a rubber man, his body is able to withstand the pressure. If it is a normal human being, his internal organs would have exploded. This faster pumping of blood causes smoke to be emitted out of Luffy’s body. Its way too cool! Luffy is able to move at ultra high speed and using attacks many times faster. Usually, the enemies end up getting beaten into a pulp. Believe me, its worse than what is shown above LOL!

If you think thats all, you’re wrong! The battle with CP9 strongest member forced Luffy to activate Gear 3! Luffy always put his thumb into his mouth before activating this gear. I don’t quite remember if he was bitting his thumb or blowing air into it, but anyway, activation of this gear allow a part of Luffy’s body to become extremely huge and strong. In the case of fighting with Lucchi (the strongest member of CP9), Luffy’s leg became the size of a giant and kicked Lucchi out of the damn building. However, there is a side-effect. Luffy will shrink in size after using gear 3 and have to run away from combat until he reverts back to normal, and he looks really cute when he is small haha. In my opinion, i still think gear 2 is way cooler than gear 3.

One thing i must say about this series is that the opening and ending songs are great! Well not all, some of them are pretty sucky, but most of them sounds really good! I dare say that so far, this is the only anime series which contains a hell lot of good songs. Other Shonen Jump anime series’ songs are not as good. The insert song “Oretachi wa Family”, sung by the Strawhat pirates, is one of my favourite. I’ll most probably introduce this song in another entry some other time.

Once again, congratulate myself for completing One Piece~! OH YEA! *_*
