Wouldn’t It Be Great If Dragons Exist?!

YOZ PEOPLE! Its been a while since I posted any entry hah! Anyway, June holiday is round the corner, some of you might already be slacking at home right now, just like me XD! The sad thing is, I still need to study for my exam which will commence straight away after the holidays. When that happens to you, you will be having an expression like the one shown above hehe…ok I shall digress and focus on the main topic of this entry.

Well right, this topic is something to do with dragons. If I’m not wrong, I remembered saying that I love dragons even though they don’t really exist. If you are a dragon fan as well, “Dragon Drive” is the anime series for you…then again, if you are looking for an anime with an EXTREMELY EXCELLENT plot, I suggest you stay away from it just in case you start letting out a string of vulgarities LOL! Well the story plot is not really that bad, its just kinda typical with all the “Friends” thing you know…yeah if you watch anime, you should know what I’m talking about HAH!

Ok this anime series started by first protraying Reiji, the main character, as a loser in life. Then there is this game by the name of “Dragon Drive”, whereby players register and obtain a card. This card has the data of the player’s dragon. Renji happens to get the above dragon, named Chibisuke. Little did he know that Chibisuke is the guardian dragon in the other world. Chibisuke is able to transform to the form on the right. A group of the players later entered the other world and many things happened. Thats when incidents start to link and link and link and on the way, you see many beautiful dragons. Well some other animes, the loser becomes the hero in the end. Whats interesting about the anime are the dragons and when they battle. I love it when new dragons appear, thats when I’ll be taking screenshots HAHA! For this anime alone, I’ve actually had over 200 screenshots, but after some deletion, I’m left with 158 of them!!

Yea here you see Chibisuke in berserk mode, something like that. Thats when Reiji attacks the enemy when he gets really angry. The emotions of the dragon is somehow linked to the user. Well at first “Dragon Drive” was a game, but later, when the characters entered the other world, all of them became reality. Man… wouldn’t it be great if dragons exist? I can’t possibly describe everything that happened in the series in just one entry. Then again, I’m pretty lazy to actually summarise a whole 38 episodes anime into one entry, so if you are really interested in dragons, you can try catching this series and perhaps, grab some screenshots. The screenshots actually helped me generate ideas when I attempt to draw dragons! =D

These are some of the cool dragon screenshots. In one pic, you see Chibisuke with a sword attached to its arm. Well, it obtained that after defeating the legendary dragon, Shinsaber. Wanna take a long at the legendary dragon? Hmmm… its not as magnificent-looking as I expected, in fact, it looked pretty gay, but its still strong though. I’ll show you guys later. Believe me, there are A LOT MORE dragons in the series! A pity I can’t really post all 158 pictures here, it will most probably take lifetime… Can’t get enough of it? Fret not, I shall post more pictures now!

AH HA! The first picture is Shinsaber, doesn’t look so ‘legendary’ to me lol. You see this sword sticking out its ass, thats what Chibisuke obtained after defeating, man it must have stink a lot urgh…Well for the second pic, its my favourite dragon in this series because its like the coolest! Its name is Thunderbolt and I just love the way it look! Others are just some other dragons that can be found in the series, all of them look pretty cool. There is this part of the anime whereby the characters went to a particular shrine which is protected by 4 strong guardian dragons. The dragons in the 4th and 5th pic are two of them. Unfortunately, the place is so damn misty, I can’t take a clear screenshot of all the 4 dragons ARGH!!! Now to show you guys the ultimate enemy. It is sort of like the ‘boss’ but to my disappointment, just like the legendary dragon, its not impressive-looking… Take a look below…

Its much much more bigger than Chibisuke. I personally think its wings are beautiful, but other than that, nothing worth describing LOL! Its body is like those outerspace-looking thing. Yes it is powerful, duh~ how can the ‘final boss’ not be powerful, but no matter how strong or powerful it is, it is inevitable that it will get owned in the end. The series ended in a pretty lame way…hmm…but I can live with that, since I’ve already got my hands on so many dragon pictures XD!

Now anyway, once again, I need to emphasize that the dragons are wonderful! Most important thing to do when watching this series is to focus on the dragons. The storyline may be sucky for some viewers who have high expectation, but for me, I think its just fine, around the average level, not too good and not too bad either. You’re encouraged to watch this series if you like action-packed anime series. If not, don’t blame me if you are like this after watching the series:
